SUKOON | سكون

From Kufa to everyday life

Kufic, named after the city of Kufa, is one of the earliest forms of Arabic script.
Its geometric tradition later gave rise to Square Kufic, a form often found in architectural ornament.

Each Sukoon design is a discovery and a negotiation with its letters.
In giving that complexity time and space, its beauty begins to reveal itself.
